GENERAL INFORMATION

FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION

Picture
The Baptist Missionary Association of Texas (BMAT) consists of approximately 400 Baptist churches across the state of Texas. Our association endeavors to unify the work of the churches as they fulfill the Great Commission in their local  communities, the State of Texas, and ultimately, the world. To accomplish this, we plant new churches and provide resources to assist cooperating churches in developing their ministries of family and childcare, evangelism, discipleship, and Christian education. Through these ministries we anticipate God’s blessings in the salvation of the lost, the strengthening of  the family, and the spiritual, numerical, and financial growth of the churches.

The churches of our association support the Texas Baptist Home for Children, a state missions department, and a bimonthly publication,
Baptist Progress in Waxahachie, Texas.  The churches also support Jacksonville College, a two year college located in Jacksonville, Texas.

We invite you to browse our website for more information and news about the Baptist Missionary Association of Texas. It would also be our delight to welcome other churches of like faith and order into our association of churches.
